Mushroom and Onion Tartlets

Serve up a unique and delicious treat at your next event with these Mushroom and Onion Tartlets. Infused with the perfect medley of savory mushrooms and sweet caramelized onions, each tasty tartlet is baked inside a crispy shell for an utterly mouthwatering bite-sized snack that’s sure to impress! Preparing this appetizing dish couldn’t be simpler – making them ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of pre-made tartlet shells
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 lb. of sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the pre-made tartlet shells on a baking sheet and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook until it’s caramelized and golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their moisture and are browned, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Spoon the mushroom and onion mixture into each tartlet shell, filling them up about 3/4 of the way.
  8. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of each tartlet.
  9. Bake the tartlets in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the filling is hot and the shells are crispy.
  10. Remove the tartlets from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top of each one.
  11. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
